I was immediately impressed when I walked into Topgolf’s Gilbert location – it looked more like a lounge than a driving range. After checking-in, we were immediately taken to a Bay with a comfy couch. Once we started playing, I realized why Topgolf is becoming so popular… they make the experience enjoyable for everyone – beginners and pros alike.
When you hit the ball, you start playing a point-scoring golf game. The 240-yard outfield has several dartboard-like targets in the ground. The closer to the center or “bull’s-eye” you get and the farther out you hit your microchipped balls, the more points you receive. So whether you are a beginner and your balls are rolling in by chance or you’re a pro who is trying to hit precise shots, its great for everyone.
We went to TopGolf on Sunday to take advantage of their brunch offering which is available weekends and holiday Mondays. Brunch was delicious and the Gilbert location offers a bloody mary bar with all the accouterments (bacon, hot sauces, olives, pickles, etc.) for an amazing bloody mary. Each Bay also has its own TV so the guys can come and watch football. How can you beat that for a Sunday Funday?
