Ocean Prime’s new Flavors of Sonoma menu is fresh, flavorful and perfect for summer.

Chefs and wine connoisseurs at Ocean Prime traveled to Sonoma Valley to best curate the seasonal menu and to truly grasp the tastes and flavors of the region by visiting a local creamery, oyster and mushroom farms, vineyards and the local farmer’s markets.

The seasonal menu offers wine pairing recommendations from Jackson Family Wines providing a true Sonoma Valley dining experience. Here’s our review of the new menu items:

image003The West Coast Oysters on the Half Shell. These Fanny Bay Oysters are served fresh and are some of the best in all of Arizona!

The Heirloom Tomato Salad {featured in the main photo} is served on a bed of arugula with Humboldt Fog goat cheese and red onions and drizzled with red wine vinaigrette. The delicate and bold flavors in this salad offer the perfect balance for a refreshing & light summer dish.

image005The Arctic Char features Brussels sprouts, quinoa, almonds and red peppers served with a sherry lemon vinaigrette. The Arctic Char, related to both salmon and lake trout, is cooked & seasoned perfectly. This light but filling dish is also perfect for the summer.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jagger Griffin, executive chef, who revealed the success of the restaurant is in the quality of the ingredients – we couldn’t agree more! He also revealed that Ocean Prime Phoenix receives daily seafood deliveries from Santa Monica, CA which keeps their seafood fresh.
