Orangetheory Fitness Rows Into Old Town Scottsdale Scene

Orangetheory Fitness, a unique brand of highly effective group interval training, has officially opened its 19th Valley studio. The new studio is located in Scottsdale in the Fry’s shopping center on Indian School Road and Miller Road.

Popular for its high-energy group fitness classes, the latest Orangetheory location will offer daily classes led by experienced trainers, following the same cardiovascular and strength training concept that the studio is known for.

“We’re extremely excited about the opportunity to continue our expansion into the area and provide a greater opportunity for the Scottsdale community to get fit with Orangetheory,” said Jeff Edris, owner of Orangetheory Fitness Old Town. “The workout we offer takes the intimidation factor out of getting fit and is individualized in order to meet the goals and needs of every member we work with.”

Orangetheory Fitness offers a 60-minute workout, backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). The heart rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Using a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX Suspension Training and free weights, participants can expect to burn anywhere from 500 to 1000 calories per session. The result of this workout is the “Orange Effect” – meaning more energy, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours post-workout.

Orangetheory Fitness Old Town features Orangetheory Fitness’ newest heart rate monitoring system, OTbeat. The system uses Bluetooth connection to give quick stats on calories burned, track the amount of time spent in different zones during a workout and more. In addition to using OTbeat during class, members can also utilize the monitoring system to track physical activity outside of class.
