Sol Mexican Cocina offers a Baja-inspired menu that celebrates authentic flavor and Mexican traditions with an ever-changing array of fresh seafood and seasonal fresh ingredients. We recently dined there to try some of their newer menu items and had an amazing experience.
Here are a few of our favorite newer menu items:
- Mango con Chiles Scallops – Scallops, fresh lime, sweet & hot chiles, mangoes, cucumbers, soy & chile con limon, with crunchy jicama.
- Chipotle Garlic Ribeye Steak – A premium 12-ounce Angus ribeye steak rubbed with garlic and a touch of chipotles in adobo and then grilled.
- Grilled Agave-Chile Shrimp Taco – An agave-chile marinade enhances the natural sweetness of the shrimp, which are set on guacamole and topped with a medium-spicy, creamy green salsa, lettuce and pico de gallo.
- Pastel Tres Leches ‘1921’ – House-made white cake is soaked until softened with a rich, creamy sauce of cream, evaporated milk, milk and 1921 tequila liqueur, and then spiced with cinnamon and vanilla.
We absolutely loved the newer, inventive dishes on Sol’s menu. If you’re looking for a delicious new margarita to try, we recommend the Farmer’s Market Margarita – its fresh, light & delicious!
An all time favorite of ours is Sol’s tortilla chips, habanero salsa, smoky black bean pepitas dip that is served when you arrive. If you haven’t dined at Sol Mexican Cocina before, make a reservation immediately! If you haven’t tried the new menu items, you won’t be disappointed.
