I love to try new workouts and fitness classes. When I saw Orangetheory offered a free class, I decided to signup at the Happy Valley location. One of the best things about Orangetheory is they connect you to a heart rate monitor. This monitor tracks you heart rate throughout the hour long class so you can see how hard you push yourself. At the end of class, you receive an email with your results, including the number of calories you burned (see image at bottom).
The class itself was challenging. Moving from the treadmill to weights to the row machine gives you a full body workout with cardio and strength training! Another great thing about Orangetheory is all exercises can be modified depending on your fitness level. The instructor will give you an overview before class starts and help you adjust to your level throughout class.
