What do you do if you only have 1 day in Sedona? If you can, we recommended staying 1 night so you can get up early and enjoy a full day of breathtaking scenery and fun activities. Check out our 1 day itinerary:
Bell Rock Trail – 7AM
This is a short and easy trail (1 mile roundtrip). The cool thing about this trail is you can actually climb Bell Rock or extend the distance by continuing on one of the merging trails. If you prefer the short and easy route, you can finish in an hour. If you want to be more adventurous, plan to spend 2 hours.
The photo to the right shows the trail leading to Bell Rock – beautiful scenery in every direction! We recommend staying at a hotel/resort so you can wake up early, tackle the hike and then come back to shower for our next stop… brunch!
Creekside Brunch 10:30AM
Brunch at L’Auberge de Sedona is worth the trip alone! This creekside brunch is situated right against the creek under a canopy of cottonwood and sycamore trees – its absolutely enchanting!
In addition to the beautiful scenery, the food selection is great and you can add champagne/ mimosas. If you want to enjoy this one of a kind dining experience, you must make a reservation. L’Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Broken Arrow Tour 1PM
This is another experience that is worth the trip to Sedona alone! This 2 hour tour offered by Pink Jeep Tours offers the best off-roading adventure and breathtaking scenery (the main photo for this article and photo to the right were taken on this tour).
They are the only company that has a permit with the Forest Service to offer four-wheeling ON the red rocks. After a day of hiking and champagne brunch, this tour is perfect to add some adventure and to see some of the best views in Sedona! Bonus – Pink Jeep Tours is only minutes from L’Auberge de Sedona! Get more info and book your tour here.
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa and had a great experience – I only wish we had time for golf! The resort offers stunning views of the red rocks, 3 pools and a spa.
Take advantage of summer rates from $168 per night for stays May 26-Sept. 8, 2015.
